Owner-operated home automation
PatrickHA
Patrick Home Assistant is a personally operated application for controlling the owner's household devices, viewing cameras, managing climate settings, and running household routines.
What the application does
PatrickHA runs on an owner-managed server. Its private web and companion interfaces organize registered devices by room and provide controls supported by each device. Compatible devices use direct local connections; selected account-based integrations require their provider's services.
- Control registered lights, switches, fans, blinds, and other supported household devices.
- Read supported thermostat measurements and settings, and request supported climate changes.
- View authorized camera video and supported camera controls, with bounded local event history where enabled.
- Manage household automations and use the optional Liam voice interface.
Why Google account access is requested
The optional Google Nest connection lets the owner authorize access to supported Nest devices. PatrickHA uses device identifiers, names, room information, measurements, operating state, and supported settings to show those devices and carry out the owner's requests. Authorized Nest cameras may supply live video and audio for household viewing.
Optional Google Home sharing exposes only owner-selected PatrickHA devices and their supported capabilities, allowing Google Home to query their state and submit commands. Camera sharing supplies an authorized stream when requested. Account access is not needed to read these public information pages.
Private household access
PatrickHA is not a public device-control service. Device inventory, live state, credentials, and camera content are separate from these public pages and require authorized access. This application is independently operated and is not endorsed by Google or other device manufacturers.
